Congrats to my undergrad mentee Nickeisha Cuthbert for getting the American Heart Association award for Supporting Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) for underrepresented groups in science! She also did a great oral presentation for her summer internship. It’s an honor to mentor Nickeisha for a virtual project she did from Claflin University through the Stanford Cardiovascular Institute (CVI) Undergraduate Summer Research Program.

(Update in 2023: Nickeisha was accepted into MIT for her graduate study! Yay!)
